The MEA Executive Committee met on October 7. Corina Henrie, Heather Dunn, Rob Reynolds, and Angela Price were present.
Slush Fund change: MEA will be paying for flowers that have in the past been paid for out of the Slush Fund. Thanks to the individuals in each building who handle ordering these. It is appreciated. Shelly Moen was touching base with Paula Kindel to discuss billing. Corina was checking with Jim Henrie to make sure this was clear in the high school.
Corina Henrie represented MEA at the October School Board Meeting. She gave a scholarship update. She will be giving a report on board meeting happenings at the next MEA meeting.
Richard Montoya has joined MEA.
MEA will provide dinner for conferences in November and provided sandwiches during Open House for all staff. These funds come from local dues that MEA members pay.
A possible atrium contribution was discussed. Maybe picnic tables or benches. This will be discussed at a full MEA meeting.
