Pizza and sandwiches were popular for conferences. Next time get more pizza in the high school.
Scholarship account will be changed so taxes can be managed by MEA(not locally).
Several MEA trainings coming up. Heather will put a link on this website. There are 9 days that MEA members can use for trainings.Not 9 each, but 9 total each year.No need to take personal time. Think about attending one of these upcoming trainings.
Discussion about TVEA contributing to worthy causes. A subcommittee was formed to discuss this. David James, Sandy Ryberg, Shelly Moen and Shelly Clark volunteered. Others interested should email David James. This group will discuss how to apply for a TVEA grant. How much? How often? What the application will look like etc... Would like to have this in place for next school year. These people will get back to the group with their ideas.
It was unanimously decided that MEA members have the opportunity to vote on whether or not they want to donate TVEA funds in the amount of $500 or $1000 to Save Our Steinway. Rob will take care of the voting online.
A report was given from the last School Board Meeting.
Early retirement incentive should be presented at the December meeting.
Biomass is not working as well as hoped or expected.
OPI 5 year plan due by end of January.
Enrollment down in elementary. Projection is this will continue to decline over the next five years.
Newsletter will be in post office boxes next week.
