MEA Meeting November 8, 2012

Booster Banner
Rick Bean wants to know if TVEA wants to sponsor a banner for bleachers/gym for Lions’ Boosters. $200 for both banners initial fee. $100 a year for renewal. Do we want to sponsor these? Heather is in charge of thinking of slogans/wording on banner should we choose this. Vote for this electronically. Add this expenditure to budget spreadsheet.
Conference Meals
In the past TVEA has purchased dinner for one night of conferences. Would we like to cover the cost for one night of dinner at conference again? Will the district purchase dinner for the other night?
Retirement
Is anyone considering retiring in the next 2-3 years? Talk with Jim they have creative ideas.
Academic Stipend
Remember there is money to use for academic stipends each year. See Article 11 of the contract which is posted on Negotiations Central under shared documents for complete information. This money does not carry over to the next year.
Monthly Meeting
There is a monthly meeting with administration about how things are going. If you have any items that you would like discussed with administration you are welcome to attend the meeting or send these ideas to the representative from your building. High School: Jim Henrie, Middle School: Rob Reynolds or Heather Dunn, Elementary School: Lori Coffman or Corinna Henrie. Meetings are the first Thursday of the month at 7:30. For location contact one of the aforementioned people. Lori will make a flyer reminder for posting in buildings. Lori and Rob will make a form to submit ideas to talk about.
